GIS maps are created through a process that involves digitally tracing a paper map . The process is called digitizing.
Sometimes you might need to digitize a paper map you buy from a shop. Other times you might need to digitize a map that a topic specialist has created while in the field.
In this video I also show you how to digitize a map that a theme specialist has hand draw a field interpretation on.
