Hi
When I sat down to create a post about the real estate component of the eBook it dawned on me that I couldn’t do a meaningful job of explaining the housing market maps if I didn’t first spend a little time explaining some of the basics of GIS maps. Some of you will have heard of Points, Lines and Polygons in the context of GIS maps and others of you won’t have. Doesn’t matter if you haven’t. Anyhow, what I hope you’ll get out of this 10 minute video is an understanding that if you get the map-data bit right then you can set yourself up to do some very tricky map analyses.
As always, please feel free to share this post with your Twitter or Facebook friends. They’ll get the most benefit from it if they download the FREE eBook though. Unless they do that they won’t find out about new posts in this serie
PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK: This is a young site and I’d like to make it relevant to people wanting to learn GIS. I’d really like your feedback about what you want. For example is this video too long for you and would you prefer it to be split up? Do you understand what I’m saying in the video? Please write you comments below. I make use of the Facebook commenting system – it is a way to ensure less spam on the site.
